A: It uses D batteries, not rechargeable batteries so there is no recharging. They claim a year on four D batteries with typical usage. Since the product hasn't been out for a year, there has been no real world test of that. The app will tell you when the batteries are low.Q: How do these go into the ground? (2 answers)
