A much needed upgrade. Was fair priced, works as it should. Only downfall is the vapo pads you can use, dont last very long.
Has to speed settings. One you can hear. The other is silent.

We got good results from our Vicks humidifier -- it performed as described, emitting a gallon of water per 24 hour period, and ran fairly quietly. But our water container developed a leak. We contacted Vicks to send us a new water cannister, to replace the leaking one. We supplied them with the bill of sale, the date code from the plug, and a clear description of what we wanted, We live in Arizona where it is very dry -- my wife has lung problems, and we needed the extra humidity. They demanded that we send the whole unit back to them for inspection, and in 4 - 5 weeks, they may send out a new unit to us. Our reply to Vicks was that this was a very onerus solution: no humidification for 4+ weeks? I repaired our canister with water-proof tape, and so far we have prevented further leakage. This company is not cooperative, and does not seem to stand behind their product. I have attached a picture of my DIY repaired water cannister, which can't cost more than a few dollars!

Great humidifier, filters are sort of hard to find but I love that I can add the Vicks scent pads in. And only have to fill it every other night

Average product for the price. Tank is small and needs filled daily. No bells or whistles. If it runs out of water it keeps running until you remember to fill it.

Great humidifier- easy to operate. On low setting it is extremely quiet with an occasional “gulp” sound I forget it’s on. On the higher setting you can hear the fan but it isn’t to loud.
I usually use “humidifier cleaning balls” with this product to keep it clean.

It's not the misty kind of humidifier. It's basically a swap cooler. It's slow to add humidity it took it a day or so to rise the humidity of my bedroom form 28% to 35%. I think that's fair considering it's very very quiet.

Thank you for your feedback. We will share this information with our team. Please note, various conditions can affect the performance of your Cool Mist Humidifier. Initially when using a unit, it can take a seemingly long time for the humidity level in the room to rise. The reason for this is that your unit is constantly trying to push moisture into an extremely dry environment. Everything in that environment (walls, floors, furniture, carpet, etc...) is absorbing this moisture. Only when all the objects in the environment are saturated, will the water from the humidifier stay in the air. Due to this, we recommend leaving your humidifier on the highest setting. If you have dry heat, such as forced hot air, it is best to let the unit run constantly. You will know the humidifier is working because the water level in the tank will go down with use. We hope this is helpful! If you require assistance, please reach out to us by emailing [email protected].

I purchased this humidifier for my daughter’s room when she had a cough. Worked great with the Vicks packs to create menthol steam in her room. The issue....when the tank feeds water to the humidifier, it makes a super loud GLUG GLUG sound, as the valve only opens when the water reaches a certain water level. The result...a soothing mist sound interrupted at least 3x per hour by a GLUG GLUG sound, which woke my daughter up several times. We scrapped this one and purchased a different brand with a quieter water feed. If you end up purchasing this one, I would run it a few hours before bedtime and then turn it off to avoid the GLUG GLUG sound throughout the night. For the price, it works, but the sound level is insufferable for continued use throughout the night.

Very easy to use. I live in the dry desert, and I have been using this product for the last month and I've noticed changes in my living room, next to the kitchen, that now due to the pandemic has been the place where I exercise. It throws cool mist that helps the place to feel fresh and with a good smell.
A:Thank you for your inquiry Ana. If the water is not decreasing, but the fan is running, that would mean that the filter is dry. This can be because the air is so dry that water evaporates faster than it is being wicked up by the filter. To counter this, we would advise soaking the filter and checking every few hours in case the filter needs to be resoaked. As the humidity in the room rises, the filter will be able to wick water faster than it evaporates. The other reason could be because the filter is encrusted with minerals and needs to be replaced. If you have any other questions, or if the fan is not working, please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at [email protected]. Thank you.
A:Thank you for your inquiry. To use Vicks VapoPads with the Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier, place the VapoPads inside the scent pad door located on the front of the humidifier. The filter should be placed in the removeable tray after lifting the water tank. If you have further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]. We're here to help!

A:Thank you for your inquiry Waldo. This is an Evaporative humidifier, so there is no mist that comes out of the unit. However, the humidified air is exhausted from the front of the unit.
