Description
Philips Avent Anti-colic with AirFree vent bottles are designed to reduce feeding issues: such as colic, gas, and reflux. The unique AirFree vent is designed to draw air away from the nipple keeping it full of milk to avoid air ingestion. This vent also keeps the nipple full of milk even when the bottle is held horizontal, allowing for upright feeding. Feeding in an upright position can help to reduce reflux and aid in digestion. The nipple shape is designed for a secure latch for a comfortable feed. The bottle is easy to clean and assemble with few parts. The AirFree vent is only one piece and is easy to clean without any special tools. The Anti-colic bottle features a valve, integrated into the nipple, that reduces vacuum buildup and reducing air into your baby’s tummy. The Anti-colic bottle can be used with or without the AirFree vent, giving you the option based on your baby’s feeding needs. The soft silicone nipple is available in different flow rates for babies of all ages, flows 1-4. We recommend using the Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle with Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle nipples. Includes 1 4oz Anti-colic bottles with AirFree vent with Flow 1 nipples. SCY701/91.

These have been the ONLY bottle to work for my breastfed newborn. They are not perfect, but are actually slow flow and reduce the amount of air swallowed. There is minimal leakage on his face while eating from these bottles. It is annoying that they are supposed to be hand washed though.

I don’t like the green piece in the bottle. You have to pry it out with your nail to remove and clean and in general it’s another piece to clean and fumble around with. Sometimes clumps of formula get stuck in it. The vent in the green piece is another cleaning complication. You have to make sure you are thoroughly cleaning the rubber vent to prevent bacteria breeding grounds. There are easier bottles out there that are more effective.

These bottles are the absolute worst bottles made to man. 10 times out of 10 they’re leaking milk. No matter how many times I rework the nipple into the ring, adjust the airflow vent, tighten or loosen the top. They’re still leaking. I’ve bought 9 bottles and they’re all the same. Junk and a waste of money.

Hi Mia, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are really sorry that you are having issues with your Anti-colic bottle. We always want to make things better, so we appreciate your thoughts. Check if the bottle neck and ring are undamaged. If damaged, replace them. Ensure the ring is tightly screwed. If not, tighten it more. Make sure the Air Free Vent, if used, is fully pressed in and level with the bottle neck. If this doesn't improve your experience with the Anti-colic bottle, please get in touch via social media. We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don't worry if you don't use social media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. We thought we found the perfect bottle after trying multiple different brands. We ended up buying 12 of these and within a month the anti colic insert warped from being put in the bottle sanitizer causing them to excessively leak. Even though they are dishwasher and sanitizer safe, Phillips says they do not recommended it after we reached out with our issue. We switched to Tommee Tippee advanced anti colic bottles and have no issues since. Even putting them in the dishwasher and sanitizer. These are a much better product. Steer clear of the Phillips Avent Anti Colic bottles to avoid this frustration.

Hi there , Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Anti-Colic bottle. This is certainly not the experience we want our customers to have. To prevent leaks, make sure the nipple and ring are assembled correctly, the bottle neck and ring are undamaged, the ring is screwed on tightly and the AirFree Vent (if used) is level and pressed in. In addition, always use the cap when shaking or transporting the bottle. If this doesn't improve your experience with the Anti-colic bottle. Please get in touch via social media. We're available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don't worry if you don't use social media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page:https://www.usa.philips.com/c-w/support-home/support-contact-page. Hope to speak to you soon! We received this bottle as part of a gift from the Babylist bottle box, and it did not work for us. The bottle leaked, which is not a problem you want to have in the middle of the night or when you’re on the go. I tried using it a second time and the same thing happened, so we discarded it.

Works about as well as a Dr browns bottle with less cleaning parts. HOWEVER it did leak a bit and was hard to get the top on securely.
Love this bottle for gas.

My baby struggled with reflux. We tired dr. Browns, but let’s be honest .. those take way too long to clean. These worked better and are a lot easier to clean. They drip occasionally, but I believe it’s because of constant use. The inner blue object gets worn out over time. So I will be buying some more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bottles have made baby life so much easier. They really did reduce gas and we hardly ever dealt with spit up! My only complaint is sometimes closing it can be tricky which led to leaks. More of a user error though!

Milk leaks out from base of nipple. A lot.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're facing issues with your Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottle. We would like to let you know that the incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring, and it is suitably tightened on the bottle without being over tight. Wet glass bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon! Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

I’ve been using como tomo for my newborn and wanted to try different bottles, I breast feed sometimes but mostly pump. These bottles actually have a small hole so he’s not gulping it down and spitting up all that liquid gold. If your looking for a slow drain then these are the bottles to get. I actually like them better than the como tomo Cause it’s easier to hold and I like how they look
The best!
